Simple Black Beans with Garlic and Jalapeño

  1. Carefully remove the seeds from the jalapeño and dice into small pieces. If you prefer a bit more heat, you can leave some of the seeds.
  2. Combine the jalapeño, garlic, olive oil, and cumin in a small saucepan over medium heat. Sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add the entire jar of black beans to the saucepan, without draining. Bring everything to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste and cook until heated throughout. 
  4. Serve with cilantro, sprinkled on top.
