Broccoli Rabe with a twist! This Gluten Free Garlicky Broccoli Rabe & Tomatoes recipe features our new grain free pasta....Also free from the top 8 allergens, legumes, gums and lectins, Grain Free Cassava Fusilli is a gluten free pasta that everyone can enjoy!
What Is Broccoli Rabe?
Broccoli Rabe is the common name for rapini, which is a bright green vegetable from the cabbage family with edible leaves, buds, and stems. Don’t be fooled by the name, this cruciferous vegetable is more closely related to the turnip than broccoli.
Particularly dense in Vitamin A, Broccoli Rabe is high in fiber and many other nutrients. It is served in many Italian dishes, particularly southern Italian, but is also prominent in Galicia and Portugal. The taste is nutty and a little bit bitter. In our recipe, the process of blanching the broccoli rabe will remove some of that bitterness (For those unfamiliar with this word, blanching is a cooking process where a vegetable is scalded in boiling water and then removed after a brief interval).

A grain free pasta dinner that's sure to satisfy! Enjoy!
My very particular Italian husband loves this recipe. So simple but so amazing like most Italian food. We love how easy this is to make and how impressed people are by the taste & look of the dish. The only thing we add and feel is a must have to make the dish is a bunch of grated parmigiano reggiano sprinkled in at the end - takes it to a whole other level. We crave this and make it at least 2-3 times per month. Adding a little red pepper flakes for kick is nice sometimes too
