Jovial Partners With Healing Meals

We are firm believers that food heals, and we are very proud to give our support to a Connecticut non-profit organization that helps families in need. Healing Meals Community Project prepares and delivers organic meals at no charge to families experiencing a medical crisis. What we love about this organization is that they also engage youth volunteers to prep, cook, package, and deliver the meals, even if they’ve never had cooking experience.

Carla met Healing Meals Executive Director, Sarah Leathers, back in January to hear more about the organization’s mission and brainstorm about how jovial could get involved. She loved to learn that all meals are 100% organic and that they are provided for the whole family for an 8-week period during difficult times, with the majority of families going through cancer treatment. This week, we donated a six-month supply of jovial beans, tomatoes, and gluten free brown rice pasta, which will be used by the Healing Meals kitchen. All of us at jovial felt so good seeing the shipment leave the warehouse, believing wholeheartedly that it is such an awesome gift to be able to extend love and compassion with nourishing food.
