An Ode to Jovial’s Gluten-Free Egg Tagliatelle

It was just as she feared,
When the Italian-American did hear,
A life of gluten she would lack,
Due to the diagnosis of celiac.
For she had grown up consuming
Every pasta imaginable, including:
Orzo, penne, rigatoni,
Lasagna and macaroni.
It was a great feat,
To sample pasta without wheat
Plateful after plateful.
For a good pasta she would truly be grateful.
Like Goldilocks before her,
Each brand only bored her.
Disappointed by every bite,
Nothing was just right.
Then one day a new box
Was present among the stock.
Its name, one could suppose,
Suggests jolly, jubilant, jocose.
She admired the form
(while the water began to warm)
Of the pasta shaped liked nests.
She hoped for the best.
After nine minutes it was cooked.
After one bite she was hooked!
Not only delicious,
Made with brown rice, nutritious!
Easily digested and
Like the name suggested,
Happy was her belly
