10 New Products and a New Home for Jovial!
Hello Everyone-
This is a big year for my family, our employees, and the extended family of consumers that cook with our products! We will be introducing ten new products to the market this year and our company will finally be moving to our new home in North Stonington, Connecticut. I can’t wait to tell you more.
Following the fantastic success of jovial tomato products, Rodolfo and I got to work on developing organic beans packed in glass. Free of allergens, BPA, and additives, jovial chick peas, pinto and cannellini beans are a convenient and deliciously healthy pantry essential. We think they taste great, straight from the jar.
Jovial gluten free brown rice pasta is becoming a national favorite, so we couldn’t wait to add some new varieties! Elbows and farfalle have been available on our online store and manicotti are available TODAY! Let us know how you like these new pasta shapes!
I’ve finally finished the development of our new gluten free flours, after years of research and development. The process involved completely rethinking how gluten free flours are formulated, to come up with something truly different; four flours made with ancient grains that I think are going to set a new standard in the quality of gluten free baking. We’ll be sending out a formal announcement next week, including a 20% off pre-order special. We’ve also been working on videos and recipes for the flours, so you can get off to a great start with these exciting new products!
Many of you know that our family purchased the historic John Randall homestead in North Stonington, Connecticut one year ago. The beautiful 28-acre property will be the home of our new company headquarters, currently under construction, and scheduled to be completed mid-summer. When we started the construction in August, I was hoping the site work would not affect the old driveway to the back of the property, but because of the requirement for a large drainage system, new natural gas lines and a water storage tank for fires, the clearing and digging has been extensive. From the road, things are now surprisingly different, but I wanted to share a look at the beauty of the back of the historic property, which remains unchanged.
As you can see, the beauty of the property is intact and is reflected in what’s old- the stone walls, century-old sugar maple trees, and the weathered cedar siding. This will change, as our focus shifts from the construction of our new building, to the long-awaited restoration of the historic structures. New cedar siding will turn silver over time, but at first, it will be evident that a new life occupies the Randall farm. We like to think of this as a progressive New England farm project or a careful process of readapting this beautiful land and buildings to suit a new generation of custodians. A new life will soon fill this property and it will be shared with the community.
Although I’ve been working on a master plan for the property, it is not complete yet, so I can’t share the specifics of how and when the buildings will be renovated. Rest assured that our intention is not to modify the existing buildings, even though there are fire codes and parking requirements that will need to be satisfied, but to give them the restoration they have been longing for. I promise to update you further around the start of summer. We know there are many members of the local community and followers of the jovial brand that are wholeheartedly supporting us in this project and we appreciate that!
Sincerely,
Carla
Best of luck with the move!
Can't wait to see and taste the new products! You have changed my life!!!! Best of luck on your growing business.
I'm curious if Jovial has plans to brew Einkorn beer for the U.S. bottled beer market? Or is this something that is just for locals/visitors of your new headquarters?
This is exciting news! Einkorn Beer!!!
I am so glad that I will be able to get gluten free farfalle now. We have a family recipe that only tastes good with farfalle and no other shaped pasta. Since we have to use gluten free pasta and it was not available I didn't make the dish.
8:30am to 4:30pm EST Monday through Friday
We love the farfalle, our new favorite pasta!
We have einkorn flour (All-purpose or Whole grain) if you are not celiac. We also have a new line of gluten free flours (Pastry or Bread & Whole Grain) that are great. Either flours are great for baking breads and taste amazing!
That is wonderful! We are hoping to restore the John Randall house and Inn as our next project. We will send updates through the newsletter/blog!!
